Solar PV
The concept is simple and normally only limited by two factors: How big is your roof and how much money would you like to invest?
We provide you with a fixed price quotation and also a sophisticated calculation of your projected financial returns based specifically on your property
Solar panels collect daylight through photovoltaic cells normally installed on a roof and convert the energy into electricity. The cells dont require direct sunlight to work - they still earn money even on cloudy days!
In late 2011, typically our installations are returning an 6 to 7 year payback on investment! The remaining 18 to 19 years are free!
Heat Pumps
Grants are available for both Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pump installations at £850 and £1250 respectively .... Hurry before they run out
See Renewable Heat Incentive for more information
Air source and ground source heat pumps are simply a renewable form of energy whereby natural heat is extracted either from the ground
or from the air and used to heat your property and provide hot water
Heat pumps work on very simple and well established technology. When a gas is compressed it produces heat. The most simple form of this is a bicycle pump -
when you hold your finger over the end of the tube and pump it, the air inside
gets hot - when you remove your finger and let the air out, it becomes cool again.....
Don't install without it!

Most heat pumps use the heat formed from the compressed gas to heat water and therefore the central heating and hot water requirements for the house - this is more often than not done through the existing central heating system of radiators. It is not true to say that heat pumps only work with underfloor heating although the temperature generated is lower than that of traditional gas or oil fired boilers - but constant!
Heat pumps are often sold as a 'free' source of energy - this is NOT TRUE ...... and although the good ones are extremely efficient, they still require electricity to power compressors and other electrically powered devices. So they are not free as such - the efficiency of a heat pump is measured in 'Coefficient of performance (CoP) and this figure is very important when assessing or comparing heat pump performance
Generally speaking the greater the temperature difference between the interior of the house or the hot water requirement and the outside temperature, the lower the CoP of the heat pump. The lower the CoP value, the more it will cost to run the pump
Remember It's not new technology at all - this form of heating has been working for over 30 years and is a proven reliable heat source
A typical 4kW installation now
under £9,000 and can still provide a
return on investment in less than 8 years !!
